Welcome to F.E.A.T of The Carson Valley
F.E.A.T. or "Families for Effective Autism Treatment" is an organization in the Carson Valley that was formed to support and help families with children who have received the diagnosis of Autism.
We offer a network of support where families can meet and discuss issues surounding autism and treatment options. We want to be active in raising awareness in our community. And we will be strong advocates for our children in helping to find EFFECTIVE treatments.
We are dedicated to support and help families who have a child that has been diagnosed with Autism.
For Autism Awareness Month, we hold a 5k Walk/10k Run in April. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. PLEASE REGISTER ON SATURDAY AT THE EVENT.
Longtime FEAT volunteer mom, Lisa Gardner, started informal monthly support group meetings. Lisa has since stepped down but Eric Reimann has taken over as facilitator in Lisa's place. The meetings are held the first Saturday of every month in Carson City. (Meetings are subject to change around holidays or busy times like the summer months. You may check out our Facebook Page (FEAT of the Carson Valley) for more up to date information).
